News from the Family Council

The family council was created out of a need to bridge the gap between business and family, nurture relationships between family members and be a place to discuss issues relevant to the business and common family goals. There are 5 members that makeup the council: Kathryn, Amber, Tracie, Eric & Kristine. We have had 9 meetings this year, four of those since the family meeting weekend at Arrowwood.

During these meetings we have looked back at what we’ve accomplished throughout 2023 including a successful weekend at Arrowwood, family social events, and our attempts to be a bridge between business and family. We have discussed the best ways to communicate important business changes, dates and events, and other relevant information with all family members and are constantly trying to improve this for everyone. We are working on increasing family involvement by developing procedures to add new members to the family council as well as identifying other opportunities to engage younger family members in business-related happenings. We had a very informative meeting with Dave and Craig in the new year to review the purpose and plan of the family council in order to make 2024 a great year!  We are currently busy planning the agenda for Arrowwood and a Spring family get together event.
